Supply Chain Specialist Permanent

Adecco Sunderland has an exciting opportunity to join a well-established company as a Supply Chain Specialist on a permanent basis based in Sunderland.

My client offers a competitive salary of £26,000 and is full time, 37.5 hours per week.

Job Summary:

Place, follow-up and monitor orders on internal and external suppliers. Work with suppliers to obtain delivery dates, improve due dates and minimise back orders

Duties & Responsibilities:

Performance will be measured based on expediting effectiveness, supplier on-time delivery performance, inventory value and inventory turn, back orders and master data integrity.

Proficient in Microsoft Word,

Outlook and Excel

ERP experience

Knowledge of MRP/inventory planning systems

Analytical reasoning

Ability to problem solve

Good understanding of Continuous Improvement techniques

Good oral and written communication skills

Project Management skills

Ability to multitask

This role is mainly office based with a requirement for occasional travel.

Education & Experience:

A degree in an applicable field is desirable but not essential

MCIPS is desirable

Minimum of 2 years practical experience as a Planner/Buyer/Expeditor
