Sharepoint Developer - Wakefield - up to £40kpa DOE
My client, a well-established insurance broker, risk assessment and consultancy are currently going through a digital transformation, which will be delivering their digital capability onshore.
They are looking for a several developers to join the team to be a part of this fantastic shift on how they create, use and support their digital offering.
The role involves the design, creation, testing and documenting of new and amended web sites, web applications, mobile apps, and automations from specifications in accordance with agreed standards. This will include the specification and design of information systems to meet defined business needs, coding of the solution, appropriate testing, documentation and implementation.
Any solution needs to include compatibility with enterprise and solution architectures, and the adherence to corporate standards within constraints of cost, security and sustainability.
In addition to design and coding, most digital developers will be required to elicit and document the specification of business requirements to a level that enables effective delivery of agreed changes and implement the incremental and logical integration and testing of components and/or subsystems and their interfaces in order to create operational services.
*Works closely with the business to establish requirements for new or amended systems.
*Designs, codes, tests, corrects and documents large and/or complex programs and program modifications from specifications using agreed standards and tools, to achieve a well-engineered result.
*Takes technical responsibility for all stages in the software development process.
*Takes part in reviews of own work and reviews of colleagues' work.
*Provides advice, guidance and assistance to less experienced colleagues as required.
*Works with Application Support Analysts to Investigate, establish root cause and remediate operational incidents.
*Investigates operational needs and problems, and opportunities, contributing to the recommendation of improvements in automated and non-automated components of new or changed processes and organisation.
*You should be able to demonstrable knowledge of SharePoint development and its potential use cases.
Knowledge and experience of some of the following:
*Have at least 12/24 months experience developing, implementing and maintaining new systems in SharePoint.
*Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Desirable (not essential) skillset:
*Knowledge of C#, ASP.NET, and .NET Frameworks.
*Have experience in Microsoft Office 365
*SharePoint Framework experience.
*SSRS, Power BI, Powers Apps & Power Automate.
*Sitecore or similar CMS.
*Experience of working in an Agile environment with SCRUM.
*Track work and time spent utilizing appropriate JIRA time tracking tools.
*Appreciation of scrum-based agile development methods and processes.
*Knowledge of good quality processes including code review, unit test, coding standards, appropriate documentation.
